Infinite is one live composition rather than a queue of tracks. There is nothing to skip to, because there is no next: the music is written a few seconds ahead of where you are listening, continuously, for as long as the tab is open. The progress bar shows elapsed time and nothing else, because there is no end for it to count towards.
It is the most self-effacing channel on Longwave. Nothing arrives, nothing concludes, and there is never a track change to notice — which makes it well suited to very long sessions of focused work.
Endless generates a sequence of distinct pieces and crossfades between them, so you still get variety and named tracks. Infinite never resolves into a track at all. Pick Endless if you like some sense of movement, Infinite if you want the sound of a room that simply continues.
As long as you leave the tab open. There is no track length and no end.
It does more work than playing a file, since it is synthesising audio continuously, but it streams nothing over the network.
